We are a swedish road and racing team and started working together really close with Accossato
back in 2023, but our experience with Accossato dates back to 2014 when we needed new parts
for our CBR1000RR Endurance-bike.
It needed some upgrades from it’s stock and inconsistent master cylinder. We had tried different
brands, but really like the vibe we got from Accossato so decided to try them out. Really liked
the feeling from the first test! It delivered a smooth and predictable lap after lap. The stopping
power is consistent and gives you better control than the standard master cylinder, so when it was
time to take it to the next step and upgrade the calipers it was only one option to go for without
hesistation and it was Accossato! The bike was fitted with AG-PZ01 calipers in the wonderful hard
anodized finish.
Fast forward to 2020 is when we took direct contact with Accossato to get an account so we
could shop directly from them and build a closer relationship. We fitted some more master cylin-
ders to our road bikes which we took to trackdays and then also competed with. Accossato has
always been favored for us and something we always recommend because of their low service
intervals, great quality and beautiful looks which always catches people’s eyes.
For last season in 2023 we wanted to take it to the next level and build a really nice streetbike
with the best possible street/trackday setup as possible. We chose to continue using a CBR-
1000RR Fireblade and made it with a retro CBR900RR design fully covered in Accossato parts
from front to back. Just in time for this project, Accossato released a new nickel/chrome color
option for their PZ011/PZ012 and PZ016 calipers along with their new Ambigram-logo. Since
this was a bike project aimed for road bikes that wants that little extra, this was a perfect combo!
Along with the calipers, we also went with the CNC PRS Master Cylinder CY004, rear thumb
brake BP010 hooked up to the MP005 rear master cylinder with dual ports so you can use the
foot brake or thumb brake depending on the situation. All of this was connected together with
white and black Accossato brake lines.
When receiving the parts and opening up this huge box with everything inside was like opening
up a big treasure! The calipers were literally shining and I couldn’t contain my happiness, they
were so beautiful! We then rushed to the garage, did a photoshoot of everything and highlighting
the new caliper finish, assembled everything on the bike, measured the custom brake line lenghts
for the thumb brake master cylinder and used the Brake Hose Configurator which worked like a
charm. When that last brake hose arrived just a few days later and all fluids were added, the bike
stood there finished and it looked amazing! Better than imagined!
The first ride on the bike started out slowly to warm up everything and get the brake pads to
wear in evenly, but you could already feel how much better it felt. Everything is so precise and
with the remote adjuster it was even easier to fine tune. When everything was set and done,
you could really start pushing and start to really “bite into it” and bite it did! All of these parts
working together is a perfect harmony, it feels like a completely new bike. The discs on this bike
is of a standard type and the ST-brake pads really blends well together. For a road sportbike this
has really made the experience much more enjoyable, right from the start when you go out from
the garage to when everything is warmed up, it gives you perfect feedback and stopping power
unmatched in this pricing range. Most important of it all is that this will make you a better and
safer rider right from the get go. So when you go home, you will always have a smile on your face
and especially when you have a look at your bike before you turn off the lights.
For 2024 we have big plans for a new project that Accossato will be a big part of which we are so
proud of and we are super excited to show you the progress of this bike in future blog posts!
